Over at Casualty Maps is an interesting hack of Google Maps that shows the hometown of all 1728 (current count) of the service men and women killed in Iraq. Startling to see the number presented so visually.

(yeah, I know, I know, no politics, I promised. But, on the cusp of GWB’s “Since I don’t read the news, I know everything’s rosy in Iraq, and you don’t” speech (that’s the unofficial title), I think it’s particularly poignant.)
