I’ve taken the plunge and moved this site to Drupal CVS HEAD, that is, the development version, which will become Drupal 4.7 in a few months. ([[Dries Buytaert|Dries]] says a code freeze in September and a release in October.) There are a lot of very nice changes here, some of which visitors will see, but the major changes are for authors. The freetagging in taxonomy finally pushed me over the edge. I’m going to be creating a bunch of new terms as I sort through my del.icio.us links, integrating them into the site, and, once you’ve tasted freetagging, the old way is extremely clunky.

Update: Grr. Search broke. Need to fix search.module. Disabling the box until I can see what’s going on.

Update #2: Heh. Simple fix. Submitted one-line patch to Drupal.org. Box is back.
