After a few weeks that I’d rather forget, things are beginning to feel just a bit more like normal around here.
I replaced the hard drive in my Powerbook (now my only real machine) with a larger one, and, rather than copying everything over, decided to do a completely clean install of Mac OS X Tiger. This has taken a very long time to get things back to where I had them, but I think I’m finally there. I finally got my bookmarklet for posting to this site back and running, so the links will start to flow again. There are lots that have been backing up in the system, and they’ll get posted very shortly.
An emergency wisdom-tooth-ectomy has left me with (another) hole in my head and some serious soreness. This week has been a total loss. With my vacation coming up, that’s not real good.
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted a Krypto, and I’ll probably not post one for a time. Other than me, there were only two other people that commented on them, and it hardly seems worth it. Perhaps when my blogging pace+quality improves, there will be more readers that would appreciate it.
Moshe has begun using my to power a wiki, and that means some very high quality feature requests and bug reports. One of them I worked on and completely broke my module (http://drupal.org/node/35957) so I had to spend a few hours rolling back the change and keeping up with Drupal HEAD. Drupal 4.7 will be a very nice piece of software, but right now the pace of change is pretty hectic, as they work to get a stable release candidate out. I’ve started working on some of my internal modules that are in use here at the lab and also over at DIYPlanner.com, and I’ve got a fair bit of work ahead of me.
None of this qualifies as an excuse, I realize, nor is it meant to be. Just a little ping to say that I’m not completely dead, and things should finally start to pick up a bit around here again.
