Rory at ThinkMac has mocked up a redesign of the Mac OS X dock that looks orders of magnitude better than the superfluous effects-filled craptacular dock that Apple is showing in Leopard screenshots.

C’mon Apple. Fess up, tell us you made a mistake, and implement Rory’s ideas. Your ideas for the dock are just horrendous. Most of us, I think, hate the dock anyway. Leopard will only increase our loathing. I still don’t think the dock is in any way useful, but at least ThinkMac’s version is, you know, attractive.
