It’s a very good thing that the Senate is debating a Constitutional Amendment banning burning American flags. The Washington Post reports that flag burning incidents rose 33% this year.

Update: It didn’t pass the Senate. We should expect the incidents to increase, maybe to as high as ten, before decade’s end.
