NFL Picks, Week 11

Last week: 4-11 vs. spread, 11-4 straight up. This week: 8-8 vs. spread, 11-5 straight up.

Dolphins (+3) at Panthers

Give the Panthers the standard three for being at home. I think Miami’s better, but Carolina has played stronger of late. I’ll take the Panthers to win by more than three. Results: Dolphins 24, Panthers 17 (L, L)

Redskins (+11) at Cowboys

Washington got its third win of the year courtesy of my slipping Broncos, and Dallas hasn’t looked good. I’ll take them to win, but the Redskins to cover. Results: Redskins 6, Cowboys 7 (W, W)

49ers (+6.5) at Packers

A tough one to pick. Given the line, I think the Pack wins but the 49ers will cover. Results: 49ers 24, Packers 30 (W, W)

Falcons (+6.5) at Giants

Both of these teams started out strong but have been struggling of late. I’ll give the Falcons the points and still take the Giants. Results: Falcons 31, Giants 34 (L, W)

Bills (+9) at Jaguars

The Bills fired their head coach, never a good sign. The new regime looks a lot like the old one, but I think that’s too many points. The Bills lose, but by less than nine. Results: Bills 15, Jaguars 18 (W, W)

Seahawks (+10.5) at Vikings

Something tells me this isn’t even as close as the line. Vikings win big at home. Results: Seahawks 9, Vikings 35 (W, W)

Browns (+3.5) at Lions

No one will watch this game, it’s too bad. I suppose someone will win, though, and I think it’ll be the Browns, straight up. Results: Browns 37, Lions 38 (L, L)

Steelers at Chiefs (+10)

The Steelers got their butts handed to them at home last week, and they’re mad. So, sorry, KC, you don’t have a chance. I’ll take the Steelers by more than 10. Results: Steelers 24, Chiefs 27 (L, L) (But, man, do I hate the Stillers. Happy to be wrong)

Colts at Ravens (+1)

I think this is an odd line. The weather should be good, which negates the Ravens’ biggest advantage here. Looks like a trap, but I’ll still take the Colts. Results: Colts 17, Ravens 15 (W, W)

Saints at Buccaneers (+11.5)

The biggest line of the week is once again the Saints’. The Bucs aren’t all that bad, though. Too big for me. While the Saints win, the Buccaneers cover. Results: Saints 38, Buccaneers 7 (L, W)

Cardinals at Rams (+9.5)

The poor Rams have nothing going for them, but I just don’t think the Cardinals are that good. But they’re 10 or better than STL, give me the Cardinals. Results: Cardinals 21, Rams 13 (L, W)

Bengals at Raiders (+9.5)

The Bengals are for real. But again with the big line. The Raiders absolutely stink, so I’ll stick with the Bengals. Results: Bengals 17, Raiders 20 (L, L)

Jets (+10.5) at Patriots

The Patriots have found their stride, I pity anyone who has to stand in their way the rest of the season. Don’t worry about the loss in IND, that was just a risk that didn’t pay off. I’ll take the Patriots big. Results: Jets 14, Patriots 31 (W, W)

Chargers at Broncos (+0)

Doesn’t seem to be a line on this game, but, given the last month or so, I’d probably give the Broncos 5. And, though I think they’re going 7-9, I want to think they’ll do better. So give me the Broncos for the straight up win, and count this as a loss for me next week. Results: Chargers 32, Broncos 3 (L, L)

Eagles at Bears (+3)

The Eagles were a preseason favorite of mine, and the Bears are just awful. I’ll take the Eagles. Results: Eagles 24, Bears 20 (W, W)

Titans (+4.5) at Texans

Given how well Tennessee has been playing of late, I just can’t agree with this line. Give me the Titans straight up. Results: Titans 20, Houston 17 (W, W)
