The Giants have lost two in a row, but they won’t lose three. The Eagles had a mini-bye week last week, playing the Redskins, but injuries and the short week put them at a disadvantage. I’ll take the Giants. Results: Giants 17, Eagls 40 (L, L)
Once again, the Browns are big underdogs. Once again, I think it’s too much. Sooner or later I’ll be right. The Bears get the win, but the Browns make it closer than 13. Results: Browns 6, Bears 30 (L, W)
I guess someone will win this game, as rare as ties are. Last year’s winless team is much improved, but I don’t think there’s four points’ difference in these teams. I’ll take the Rams for the straight-up win. Results: Rams 17, Lions 10 (W, W)
Twelve and a half is a lot for a team that’s as good as the Niners. The problem is they’re facing a rested Colts team at home. I’d like to say that’s too many points, but it’s not. Give the Niners the points, and I’ll still take the Colts. Results: 49ers 14, Colts 18 (L, W)
A Broncos fan does not bet against them in a winnable game. I’ll take the Broncos for the straight-up win. Results: Broncos 7, Ravens 30 (L, L)
I’m not sure what to make of these teams, but, at home, I’ll take the Bills. Results: Texans 31, Bills 10 (L, L)
I continue to be down on the Cowboys, but the Seahawks have burned me in the past. Nine and a half, though, no thanks. I’ll give the Cowboys the win, but the Seahawks will lose by less than ten. Results: Seahawks 17, Cowboys 38 (L, W)
The Dolphins won this matchup earlier this year, but it’s hard when two teams are fairly evenly matched for one team to win twice. I don’t think it will happen here, either, and the Jets take it by four or more. Results: Dolphins 30, Jets 25 (L, L)
Wow, that’s a lot of points. The Raiders, though, are that bad. They made me look foolish last week, and they’re in my doghouse. Give me the Chargers by 17 or more. Results: Raiders 16, Chargers 24 (L, W)
I just don’t understand how the Titans got to be this bad. They rally around Vince Young at this week, and get their first win. I’ll take the Titans. Results: Jaguars 13, Titans 30) (W, W)
Do I really think the Cardinals are ten points better than the Panthers? Yes, yes I do. Give me the Cardinals by ten. Results: Panthers 34, Cardinals 21 (L, L)
That farver guy goes back to Green Bay, who really don’t care that he’s still playing football at the ripe old age of 73. Real tempted to push here, as the Vikings are definitely the better team, and the Pack have the home field advantage. But I think the Vikings will rally around their new old QB and take the win, straight-up. Results: Vikings 38, Packers 26 (W, W)
I really like this game on Monday Night. The Saints are a force, and the Falcons are right on their heels. As a result, though the Saints will win, the Falcons will be right there. Results: Falcons 27, Saints 35 (W, W)
