What has me so giddy today? JWZ has finally released Xscreensaver for Mac OS X. Ordinarily, this would be just one of the many weblinks that I post throughout the week, but this deserves a bit of special attention.
Ever since Jamie (best home page, ever, btw) decided that he was switching to the Mac, he hinted, and everyone hoped, that it would mean a native version of the very excellent Xscreensaver package. Xscreensaver is a huge (over 200) collection of some very old school, and some decidedly not old school, screensavers, originally for the X Window System, known as X11. Today, all the Xscreensaver modules are available as native Mac OS X screensavers. I think I’ll say it again: Oh Happy Day.
It’s difficult to say at this point if I will switch from my favorite screensaver, Electric Sheep, but with some of my old favorites like IFS, Penrose, Gravity, and Cynosure now available, as well as some of the great new OpenGL modules, it’s gonna be tough. Thanks, Jamie (et. al)!

Oh Happy Day
I started off with a mac. Now I am PC only. My brother has had a mac his whole life.
