Looking for a good app or widget for when I leave nook on the desk to use the extra screen space

I’ve got a rooted nook color running CM7, and was looking for a good app or widget to leave running when I’m at my desktop computer. I made a stand for the nook out of a coat hanger, and can leave it propped up next to my desktop monitor, and am looking for something to do with that screen real estate when I’m just using my desktop.

Any ideas?
