Damn, a few too many tributes around here lately. There was a reason he was known as the King of Pop. Gaze upon his works and tremble. Here’s my very favorite song of his. Michael Jackson at the high point of his career was an unstoppable force. While he is evidence that a shortened childhood means a lifetime of hurt, and while he certainly descended into a madness most of us will never understand, Let us not forget that there was an unbelievable talent lurking just behind that facade. And, when it did find its way out through all the artificial stuff, it was a thing of beauty.
