In March, Facebook changed their Terms of Service giving them non-exclusive rights to use your content however they see fit, even after you deleted your account. As a result, I removed all my content from Facebook. Now, word that they’re leveraging the rights you gave them when you uploaded your content: Facebook is running advertisements using users’ photos.
It’s unsavory, yes, but remember that you agreed to give them this right when you uploaded your content.
Fortunately, you can turn this “feature” off. Go to:
Settings > Privacy > News Feed and Wall > Facebook Ads > Appearance in Facebook Ads, and click “no one.”
