Rochelle High School wins State Track -- with ONE person competing

Bonnie Richardson scored 42 team points in the Texas 1A State Track and Field Championships. By herself. She single-handedly beat the next top scorer — a team from Chilton High School — by six points.

Her accomplishments:

  • 1st place, High Jump
  • 1st place, 200m
  • 2nd place, Long Jump
  • 2nd place, 100m
  • 3rd place, Discus
