Android is Google’s open source distribution of Linux for handheld devices like cell phones and internet tablets. It is managed by the Open Handheld Alliance, a loosely-knit group of device manufacturers and software houses.

Nokia N810

I’m following the N810 ports closely, as Maemo 5 (fremantle) will not be backward compatible with the N810, and the Android application space is rapidly widening.

• NthCode’s port to the Nokia N810
• Nitdroid, another port. Announcement on itt. This port seems very active, and easy to install. I’ve got my N810 capable of dual-booting Maemo (the ‘official’ OS) and this port of Android.
