Palm’s attempt at relevance in 2009. The first device released with the WebOS operating system, based on Linux and Webkit.

The Pre is a phone with a hefty, though not earth-shattering, list of specifications, including a multi-touch screen, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 3MP camera with flash, 8MB flash (but apparently no card slot), and a standard headphone jack.

It was announced at CES in January 2009 for the Sprint cellular network.
